WeatherBrains

Longest running weather podcast in the universe. Eleven years in production, James Spann and a group of private sector and NWS meteorologists gather around the digital mahogany table to talk about their favorite subject, with some great guests.

Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the author of Out of the Blue, a fantastic book about the F5 tornado that struck Tracy, MN, on June 13, 1968, killing 9 and injuring 125. Scott Thoma was a Sports Reporter and a Sports Editor at a Minnesota daily newspaper for over thirty years. He lives in Willmar, MN.  Tonight's Guest Panelist stumbled into TV at WSFA-TV in Montgomery in 1982 and started doing weekend weather. He worked in Tallahassee, FL, and Austin, TX, and spent the last last 8 years of his weather career at WTVY-TV in Dothan, AL. Connor Vernon broke the surly bonds of weather and is now the Executive Director of the Dothan Area Botanical Gardens.  Also joining us from the palatial suite at ABC 3340 will be Ricky Matthews, a meteorology student from UNCC.
