Tonight's Guest WeatherBrain is the Executive Director at the Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT). Prior to HOT he has led diverse, people-focused, technology-enabled projects across the public, private, non-profit, and international humanitarian sectors. As former supervisor for the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy Long-Term Recovery Program, Tyler led the strategy development and implementation of community recovery efforts across all 12 affected counties in New York State including directing a team of community recovery specialists engaging affected residents and community organizations. Before joining the Red Cross, Tyler worked in a number of post-disaster and community development contexts nationally and internationally; serving as a United Nations ICT officer in the UN Secretariat New York, and community development consultant for Save the Children in Bolivia and the Neelan Tiruchelvam Trust in Sri Lanka. While at the UN, Tyler served on the board of the UN Staff "1% for Development" Fund. Tyler holds a Master of International Affairs degree from Columbia University School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Science degree in Management/Computer Science from Boston College Wallace E.
