Dr. Curry has a PhD in Geophysical Sciences from the University of Chicago (1982) and a B.S. in Geography from Northern Illinois University (1974). Dr. is the former chairman (2002 - 2014) and former professor at the School of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Curry resigned from her position at Georgia Tech on January 1, 2017, citing the “craziness” of climate science, and plans to focus on her private business, Climate Forecast Applications Network. Guest WeatherBrains number 2 is James Aydelott, chief meteorologist at Fox 23 in Tulsa. His great grandparents moved into Indian Territory before 1900 and his grandfather was born in Howe. His parents were both teachers in Tulsa Public Schools. James has always been fascinated by the severe weather that seems to hit Tulsa with fearsome regularity.
